I have listen to Mary Oliver on "On being" NPR and enjoyed listening to her outlook on life. I picked this book at random and found it to be a wonderful tribute to her friend Mary Malone Cook. The combination of M's photos and and Mary's text is very thoughtful combination. Also enjoyed all the intersections with other interesting people. I previously read "Almost Famous Women" who highlighted Norma St Vincent Millay, also friend of Mary Oliver. A nice coincidence and an opportunity to explore more authors!
