Those who know us best know best how to hurt us. Sometimes so intuitively that we cause way more damage than we ever intended. Twelve-year-old twins Claudia and Reese may be near opposites in personality, disposition, and interests, but they are nevertheless twins. This "oral history" of their "war" shows how that kind of intimate familiarity with each other can take simple disagreements and accidentally hurt feelings and escalate them into incidents involving police reports. While that sounds a bit heavy (and some of the themes are), when presented through the bickering voices of the characters (and text conversations between their parents, online chat logs, captioned photographs and illustrations, and more) it is fun, funny, and excellently entertaining. Readers of all ages--in particular middle grade ones--will identify with the characters and enjoy their exploits.
