Much harder to read than Pelican Point. For every misstep that Pelican Point took, Half Moon Harbor seemed to take three, and did not recover nearly as well. Characters had conversations summarizing things they both already knew just so you could know them too in an extremely unnatural way, and the primary couple was not as lovable or as believable as the pair in Pelican Point. In fact, having read both books back to back, it's starting to feel like the series has a basic outline that is just barely varied (which tragic family related backstory shall we pick for this character) before churning out another book. Still enchanted by Blueberry Cove, but definitely will not read this book in the series again.
