"I never did quite get the book, ... mostly because they had no discernable storyline- no organization or order. So it was great that Tim Burton put an actual storyline to this movie." I think this reviewer missed the point. For most people AIW is a holiday from logic, from relentless plodding plots [from A to B, boringly]. Otherwise: a real pastiche, the parts don't really work together. But some of the parts are great: i loved the Red Queen and Cheshire Cat. But Alice was the Wrong Alice [but must admit, who would be the Right one? - it'd be like recasting Casablanca]. And the White Queen.... shudder. The grit was nice after Disneys saccharin version, and you may prefer stereotyped plotlines. Anyway, the best way to enjoy this movie is to think of it as an inspired-by movie, not an AIW per se. See it; it's original alright.
