I have been reading these books for a while now. I enjoy them because they are usually about someone who is not well known. They are easy to read and the stories are fairly easy to follow. One thing that would make this book (and others in this series) better would be more extended genealogies in the front. The trees she puts in the books are just not complete enough for me. O found the one in this book particularly frustrating. It was hard to see how Joquetta's family actually related to the other family tree she put in the book. I find the trees in all the books in this series tend to be way too short and not detailed enough for me to see where people fit into the bigger picture of the history. I finally just used another reference book I have and penciled in more folks onto the trees in the Gregory books so it's easier to use while I am reading the book.
