More like a ferocious medieval folk tale than Scorsese's usual look into modern gangster culture, this packs a lot of actual historical information into an epic recreation of the birth of New York City's (and the US's) history of violence. That 5-Points set is worth the price of admission. (Walk down to Columbus Park in Chinatown today and try not to be moved!) Stir that up with probably the most incredible role ever played by the great Daniel Day Lewis as the historically inspired Bill the Butcher..........WOOPSADAISY!
