Grace was just the girl from the house behind the woods. She was the wolf girl and she had been ever since her algid abduction when she was young. It was said that she was dragged into the woods by a group of wolves like many others before her …. Yet she was the only one to survive. Year’s later people still question why this happened, but Grace never cared why, she was more allured by the docile wolf with golden eyes that saved her. She watched the wolf as he grew up, never truly knowing that he was watching her too. Sam was the unknown wolf that adored Grace, and Grace was the girl that hid his secret. Grace loved the wolves and made sure to protect them, especially the one that meant the most to her. He was unable to escape the curse thrust upon him and continued to fight for the girl he loved. This is the first of a trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater, who perfectly captures the love story of a girl and the wolf that got away. - @BakerBooks of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
