Sep 10, 2017TEENREVIEWCREW rated this title 4.5 out of 5 stars
This movie is very heartfelt as it covers the topics of following your dream, love, honesty, and compassion. Remy is a rat, and usually, that means you are unable to become a five star chef in France. However, after being separated from his family and finding Linguini, Remy manages to live out his dream under Linguini’s hat and be a chef at his idol’s very own restaurant. This story is very touching as it shows the importance of fitting in and never giving up hope in the face of adversity. Moreover, the film is very original and well written and has many visually appealing frames. I would rate this movie 5/5 stars and recommend it to those with a soft spot for underdogs and a love for food. - @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library Ratatouille is about a rat named Remy who loves food and dreams of becoming a chef, however, his dream is opposed by those around him and most importantly his father. Remy lives in the sewers along with his family but, one day when Remy decides to go to the world above, he has a chance encounter with a human named Alfredo Linguini. I think the main message of this film is to follow your dreams and also in regard to cooking specifically, as one of the characters in the film known as Gusteau would say “Anyone can cook”. Overall, this film was pretty good, it had a good story and good comedic elements. This film would probably be a good watch with family or friends. I would give this movie a rating of 4.5/5. - @Grimvar of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
