I always thought the words "trauma" and "suffering" were poorly translated in Buddhist teachings. Insert instead stress for western cultures.

Good stuff. Heavy on the Buddhism, but that's fine by me. I personally liked his use of the word "trauma"- that definition says to me that we all could give ourselves more credit for dealing with day-to-day difficulties.

It's interesting how he relates the teachings of Buddha to modern day life, but it's a bit long-winded and tedious. I have a problem with the use of the word "trauma" to describe what most of us encounter in our everyday lives. The word implies and should be used for extreme physical or mental injury, not quotidian difficulties and angst.
