Tiny and light printing makes this hard to read.

I enjoyed part one of this book best: Philosophy. It was nice to think about how you live your life and how your stuff impacts you. I learned a few new ways to think about stuff and how to let go of it. Parts two and three, Streamline and Room by Room, are good sections for someone who is new to minimalism. Part four, Lifestyle, talks about how to introduce the idea of minimalism to people in your life. The writing is easy to understand and gives good advice without overwhelming you about the task. The book is well organized so it is easy to skip around to chapters that pertain your situation, if you don't feel like reading the entire book.

I really liked this minimalism book compared to other similar books I've read on this topic. Easy to read and some humor throughout it. The author inspired me to clean out even more things after reading her book.

A bit wordy! Just skip to Part two which explains the STREAMLINE method - Start Over, Trash, treasure, or transfer, Reason for each item, Everything in its place, All surfaces clear, Modules (bringing like items together) Limits, If one comes in, one goes out, Narrow down and Everyday maintenance. I like the idea of removing Everything from a room and then thinking on things as you put them back. A bit radical but probably not a bad way to go.

I'm only half-way through it, but so far I've found its general principles really inspiring. I'm requesting it again so I can finish the book.

Gave me a good sense of how to think about decluttering and buying less.

This book surprised me. Had some approaches to organizing that I hadn't considered. Interesting and thought provoking. Worth the time spent. Has very small type!
