City Love- Susane Colasanti
Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna are roommates in New York City preparing for the start of their freshman year of college. Leaving their old life behind and having a new start they are eager to have fun, work hard and have the best summer ever. The girls have different personalities but become great friends quickly. The girls each find someone special and fall in love with New York City.
Sadie has lived in New York her whole life. She is nice, sweet, hopeful and a romantic. At her internship she meets a boy she feels like is her soul mate. They get to know each other and have no problem connecting. She wonders if it is too good to be true.
Darcy is adventurous, eccentric, rich and from SoCal. With nothing holding her back she has her mind set on not getting involved with any boy to seriously but still have a ton of fun. When she starts to feel something more for a certain boy she isn’t sure if she should call it quits.
Rosanna moved from Chicago hoping to forget about her financial problems and start new. But having hardly any money makes that difficult for her. She meets an intriguing guy who she knows is not the best match for her. He wants to treat her to all the expensive parts of NYC but she finds it kind of intimidating.
This summer changes their lives forever.

This book is book one in the still developing series. The climax of the plot takes a while, needless to say the story is still very interesting. The book is told from alternating points of view but the transition is extremely smooth. The author vividly describes the story using colorful words. It is really easy to get hooked on reading. The girls are dealing with very different problems but they all tie together in some way and it’s really interesting to see how the characters help each other deal with the situation. New York is such an entertaining city. Being able to understand how the girls comprehend it through their eyes given their past and present situation makes the story all the more alluring.

Personally I LOVE this book. The cover looks really cool with the metallic sunset colors that’s viewing the city. The story line is even better. New York is a highly touched on topic but I really like how the author describes it in the book. She talks about the energy, scenery and why people are so drawn to it. The characters are also well described you can relate to the obstacles that each girl faces -figuring out what you want and who you are. The beginning like most books was slightly slow but once it was build up I could not put the book down. The ending was really shocking I never saw it coming and now I cannot wait for the second book to come out.
