Add a CommentA little dated -done right after Pope Benedict was elected-but pretty good. Gives viewers good historical information and has footage of areas of the vatican not usually seen by visitors-the archives, the crypts, the Papal residence, etc.
An informative documentary exploring the shift from the papacy of Benedict to Francis. This examines the scandals, both financial and sex abuse related, that built controversy on Benedict's tenure and led to his resignation, with the personal testimony of those violated being particularly powerful. Francis' different approach to things is examined, as is the challenge faced in confronting the bureaucracy in the Vatican. For an outsider, it's an interesting documentary. If you're Catholic, it might depend on where your perspective lies, however.
