For the scandal it is ultimately quite bland. Girl goes through the motions of exotic sex while receiving very little pleasure. When she does start to feel a connection, the book ends. It always amazes me the lack of pleasure behind some exotic acts. This will appeal to voyeurs "watching her" as she watches herself, but not to people hoping to share her sensations, as she is numb inside until book ends.
