Princess Adrienne is tired of waiting to be rescued, so she sets out with her friends (including her dragon guardian) to discover her own adventure. Good for little princesses and anybody who likes adventures.

I've been waiting for this princess story my whole life! Adrienne isn't content to wait for some prince to come and get her--she takes matters into her own hands and saves herself (as the title suggests) and then takes it a step farther to go rescue all of her sisters! While this is an all ages comic, adults will find plenty of funny asides to make it entertaining, and it can lead to great discussions with kids and teens about gender stereotypes and tropes.

How have I never read this graphic novel before? I adore this series and wish I had discovered it as a young girl. Adrienne is awesome and I want to be her when I grow up.

It was cute and quirky with a zany dragon. The little thing about the prince school ...

I loved everything about this story, from the art to the dragon to the AMAZING PRINCESS. Oh jeez. If you like fantasy and humor and dragons and girls being awesome then you should read this immediately.

Are you craving a strong female character that isn't on the fringe or catering to a male audience? Here is a story that does all that and more. This graphic novel takes on, and successfully (and with humor) takes down one ridiculous fairy tale troupe after another.

Princeless Vol. 1: Save Yourself offers a hilarious takedown of popular fairy tale tropes. Story writer Jeremy Whitley pushes back against stereotypes of damsels in distress and scantily clad lady warriors with humor that both kids and adults will appreciate. M. Goodwin’s bold, attention-grabbing art also provides visual interest for readers of all ages.

Ditch the stereotypes. This princess saves herself, the dragon and her sisters too. Can't wait for the next book.

I wanted to like this - but the message was just too heavy-handed. I couldn't have fun with the story because it was too busy beating me over the head with the message that *gasp* girls can do stuff! So many stories have made the same point with much more skill.

I bought this book for my 7 year-old, who is a voracious reader and a bit of an artistic tom boy. (I call her Sporty Spice.) She LOVED the story, the humor, the adventure and now wants to draw comic books.
