Fraction and company bring the adventures of the replacement Fantastic Four to an end here, with a healthy dose of humour and strong characterization. The way Scott Lang deals with Doctor Doom is particularly inspired, and in keeping with the character's history. The art by Allred still doesn't suit me, but that's a minor quibble.

This compilation was good fun, clearly the writers weren't taking themselves at all seriously here which made for some good tongue-in-cheek hi-jinks. I guess it was always meant to be a limited run event series, but that's too bad- I would've enjoyed following the adventures of the Future Foundation fro at least 4 minutes more!

Funny, brilliant, poignant - a well orchestrated climactic battle between Dr. Doom and Ant Man Scott Lang that escalates Lang to one of the smarter heroes in the Marvel pantheon and a man that Doom will be waiting to repay sometime down the road. I loved this entire series. Was it cancelled for poor sales? Pity.
