This is one of my all-time favourite television shows! It encompasses a great cast of actors with varying ages, good scripts per episode dealing with blue-collared modern day-to-day families and how they deal with and overcome real life's ups and downs in a small town. An array of characters that everyone can identify themselves within. This show feels like these people would be your next door neighbours and it has a very modest approach to living to it as well. A great family show that is positive and uplifting. A feel good show!

This show really reminds me why I desperately wanted to forsake life in a small Southern city. It's all here, all the stuff I hated about small-time places and the people who inhabit them. This town is so claustrophobic and the lives of the people are so shallow and desperate. It's just unrelenting in it's bleakness; no one seems happy or content. This is like seeing the charred remains of a burned-out house I fled long ago. The acting is key, a top-notch ensemble.
