Mary Pipher's wise and practical advice always resonates with me. The premise of her newest book is that we're at a point where the world's troubles seem beyond our human capacity to understand them emotionally. Her hard-won solution is that taking small, constructive steps forward has value. Drawing from her own life experiences and setbacks, Pipher redefines hope in Nebraska terms. Highly recommended.
