The first time I heard the song on the radio I became teary eyed. The movie brought the same emotions. I look forward to hearing the song and watching the movie each Christmas season. I have now completed the triology and read the book. The Christmas Shoes reminds me to look beyond first reactions, as you don't always know the story behind the person. The enjoyed book but I prefer the movie adaptation ... this doesn't happen often.

If you're looking for a tear jerker, any of her books will fit the bill.
