This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.

This film is dedicated to runaway homeless children. We find that many of these children are runaway because the society doesn’t protect them against abusive parents or relatives. The title gives a clue to their predicament. “Where the day takes you,” the title, suggests that they are really not in control of their day. They are just in a state of helplessness, and their days are just a waste of their lives, but is better than being abused. Lara Flynn Boyle, early in her career, has a starring role as the “girlfriend” of the character, King, played by Dermot Mulroney. Eight years later, Boyle would get a Primetime Emmy nomination for her excellent role in the TV show, “The Practice,” where unlike this film, she played an adult (132 episodes).
