Criminally dull and demeaning, THE OBJECT OF MY AFFECTION rudely awakened me to how lousy Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston can be when the script is sketchy and the nineties fame still framed their faces nicely. Not only is this film pretty awful, it's also offensive to the LGBT community at times. I'd rather not waste my time any longer describing this atrocity. Instead, I'll just hope you don't choose to watch it. You'll be sorry if you do.

I loved the book that this film was based on. For a Hollywood adaptation, this isn't bad. At least it didn't piss me off. Jennifer Aniston was pretty good and Paul Rudd is as adorable as ever, in a much smarter film than the crap he's doing lately.

Before there was "Will and Grace" there was George and Nina. George is a gay kindergarten teacher who shares an apartment in Brooklyn with Nina, a straight psychologist. When Nina announces she's pregnant it causes these two platonic lovers to question where their relationship is going and if it can handle the stress of their unconventional family. Charming, sweet, and funny. Based on the novel by Stephen McCauley.
