One of the greats of Basketball Coaches. A man ahead of his time who made a trek and took a chance on what today is common ground in the world of sports. A must see. You will enjoy!

This movie is very well done, and a powerful story of overcoming odds and fighting racism. Parents should be aware that there are some very dramatic scenes that were a bit overwhelming for my 10 year old. It was disturbing for my teenager as well, but he was more equipped to handle it. It is one thing to read about racism in school. It is another thing to watch people seriously and heinously mistreated on the screen, especially knowing it was based on a true story. The movie does give opportunity for great family conversations, though.

This is a 2006 American sports drama directed by James Gartner, based on a true story surrounding the events leading to the 1966 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship.
Don Haskins, head coach of Texas Western College, coached a team with an all-black starting lineup, a first in NCAA history.
The film explores racism, discrimination, and student athletics.
It is a great entertaining flick with an anti-racist theme.

Coach Don Haskins: You'll play basketball my way. My way is hard.
