This newsletter, which was "intended to help give interested citizens a more comprehensive picture of their city government's structure, policies and objectives" (p. 1, vol.1, no.1), includes articles on the construction of the Franklin Street Arterial and the Spring Street parking garage and Holiday Inn, reports on other Model Cities projects, as well as updates on the Portland-Nova Scotia ferry, the children's dental clinic, and the city's efforts to save its elm trees, among other stories. The newsletters are illustrated with black and white photographs, many of them showing various Portland buildings under construction.
