I liked this one but I felt like the pages with no words and simple illustrations of the baby doing silly things kind of broke up the momentum of the story. Cute though.

A very sweet book told from the perspective of a little boy. He wonders what his new baby will be like and how his role in the family may shift. This book held the attention of my three year old and we read it many times. The conversations in the book are between a mother and son, no father, which makes it easy for many families to use.

This book does nothing to prepare or help a child for what life will be like with a new baby in the family. The mother and son in the book just speculate what the new baby will be when he grows up (ex. painter, banker, gardener). The son asks his mother some good questions, but there is no answer or even recognition that the questions were asked, and thats what bothers me so much about this book.
