I had fun with this one.

Honestly, there wasn't much wrong with it. The only thing I would have liked is if Carter would have went into more detail on the preparations and the execution of the actual heist.

Other than that it was a quick easy read that left you reaching for the next one!

I don't say it often, but I have no qualms with this one.

Kat's family business is crime. Once she's finally had enough, Kat uses her skills as a criminal to con her way into an exclusive private prep school, only to have one of her former friends get her kicked out. The reasons are good however when Kat's father is under the threat of being killed by a criminal family who is convinced he stole their precious art. Kat and her friends have the impossible task of not only finding the art but stealing it back before the deadline passes and Kat's father is killed.
This book is exciting with action that never lets up and enough twists and turns for any mystery enthusiast.

Katarina Bishop grew up in a family of thieves. When Kat turns fifteen, she finds her way into the best boarding school in the country, hoping to leave the family business behind.

But, this doesn’t last long. A very powerful mobster’s priceless art collection has been stolen. He wants his paintings back, and he thinks Kat’s father stole them. Kat is going to have to track down the paintings and steal them back. She has two weeks and a teenage crew to pull off the biggest heist in her family's history.

This compelling story is packed with action and humor. It would make any adventure-lover satisfied.

This was a great book! It wasn't as good as the Gallagher Girls series, but I still enjoyed reading it. The plot was complicated and a little confusing at times, but if you just keep reading, it works itself out. I would definitely recommend it!

Characters: 7/10
Plot: 7/10
Writing: 8/10
Ally Carter definitely captures the "Disney Channel Original Movie" vibe--fun, lighthearted, easygoing, with just the appropriate touch of drama. I love heists--I love the intellectual challenge and the suspense--and this did deliver *some* of that, but I wanted more. There was more interpersonal drama than there were intellectual challenges. We were left out of a lot of the preparations for the heist, and so we couldn't tell if the heist was going well or not while it was happening. I loved the ingenuity of the job they were pulling and the strong stakes/motivation behind it, but it didn't seem as challenging as it should have been (perhaps I've watched the Ocean's movies too many times). I'd be willing to read the sequels to see what else Ally Carter came up with!

This book was confusing at the beginning but as I kept reading, I began to understand. This book is great. And if you like this series you will love the Gallagher Girl series (also by Ally Carter).

I didn't really get into this book until the actual heist took place. It is a book for YAs and I would emphasize the "young" as an adult I often read YA and this is not particularly outstanding. I just didn't buy that the characters were 16. I felt like it tried a little toooo hard. I won't intentionally pick up reading this series or author. It wasn't memorable or particularly entertaining. It was just decent. I finished it.

Pleasant enough, but not fantastic. I'd recommend this book to a 12 year old.

Great book!

Glorifies crime. Teens should be in school, not being criminals. Its not cute or funny.
