A worthy read. Clears up many misconceptions of renewable energy sources. Hint: we can't depend on them alone for our energy needs. Also discussed is efficiency of living in cities rather than rural communes, genetic engineering of food.

Probably every high school student should read this book.

well written but scarier than Harry Potter....actually a little bit more optimistic after the 1st chapter, definitely the world seen thru author's own perceptions, some of which i am able to some, some not. still reading will have to take book out again in future to finish. I think this guy does a talk about slums in Tedtalks.com that has an amazing video of a market emerging microseconds after a daily train passes (ie on the tracks)....note: I am not sure i buy his glowing view of Chernobyl....
