Thoughtful, thought-provoking and depressing.

Not bad but I thought it would delve deeper into the main charachters. Otherwise it wasn't too long & subtitles were easy to see.

I found this to be a very powerful movie. Well done. Creates an understanding about suicide bombers.

Good - Paradise Now (2005) [Foreign - Arabic (Palestine)] 90 min. The purpose of this little gem from the Middle East is to provide insights into the mind of the suicide bomber and what drives them to do what they do. The story follows a likeable young Palestinian man named Said, who has to deal with the fact that his father was a collaborator for the Israeli's. The actor brings to light the deadpan expressions depicting quite clearly there's more to this man than meets the eye. Interesting from start to finish with the necessary injection of arguments for or against this heinous action. What struck me is that the men that promote this behavior and choose the right man to do the deed [those that are obviously emotionally troubled] are also the ones that sit by and watch their fellow man blow themselves and others to kingdom come. It's an act of cowardice; an act that clearly defies what God wants for us. Nominated for a Best Foreign Picture at the Oscars.
