Recommend! This story has the feel of a very classic tale, with positive messages about finding one's purpose in the world, respect and love between a father and sons, and growing up and growing old. I read it to my almost-6 and 4 year old. It held their attention, but I think the 6 year old got more out of it. We enjoyed the pictures. I would check this out again several times as my children get older.
