I believe that Flinn did a great job of tackling how violence affects people in different ways, how abusing one person could lead to the abuse of another. I also believe that reading this book could help others learn to control, or deal with their anger. I encourage everyone to read this book, it is very informational.

As I read this book, I thought that Nick was a jerk who only cared about his feelings and not Catlin. Some of the stuff he said made my blood boil and really hate him. But as I read on, it was not his fault. My favorite part was when Catlin sung on stage, although Nick basically blew up her spot by calling her a fat pig, in trying to keep her from singing. That took a lot of guts from her standpoint. It is a great read; it gives you insight into the mind of the abuser in the relationship. I would highly recommend this book as a class discussion.

i loved this book. It was the 1st book i ever read by Flinn and i can't say enough how highly i hold it. This was also the 1st book i ever read that tackled this controversial issue of domestic violence from the male standpoint. To see where his anger comes from and what he goes through on his own homefront. This book definitely affected me in many ways. Great read.

I am having my teenage daughter read this. It really shows how a person can get caught up in abuse and why. I really like the book.
