I know the author has a good reputation, but this novel is incredibly slow in the first 2/3. It is choppy as the action speeds, and rather summarily dismisses or ties up story threads. Altogether, I think I should rate it lower!

Does somebody actually care what 'whiteshadow13' thinks about age-appropriateness?
