This is one of those novels that sticks with you years after reading it. Love, loss, grief, hope: it's all here in beautiful prose.

Every feeling that Vicky has through out the book I have experienced (not literally in the same form) and is relatable. You never feel like it's dragging on and on, however at times the writing feels a little rushed. I found myself yelling at Vicky sometimes which I assume is a good thing.
However you can get a little too caught into the book and forget to mark the time. So therefore, this book is good if you have enough time on your hands and also enough time to yawn and stretch afterwards.

There is something so pure and magical about how Madeline L'engle combines science and religion and poetry into her writing. I have been through every stage of life Vicky goes through in this book. No matter what age you are, there is at least one major point of this story that you will relate to. And I know every time I pick this book up I will discover something new that means everything to me, something I may not have picked up yet because I haven't experienced yet. There is something uniquely special about a book that not only have you loved since you were little, but that grows with you as you grow. So much of the book just...IT'S EXACTLY HOW I FEEL. It captures exactly how I felt the first time I read it, and it captures how I feel in the decade that has passed since that first reading. Then I saw a Ring of Pure and Endless Light.... He'd abandoned me. I should've known it....
